3-day rule waiver
Many of our ACO partners have provided PatientPing with a list of facilities participating in their approved 3DW networks. If you are a member of such a network and your ACO is using PatientPing, you can indicate when patients are admitted to your facility under the 3DW. You will only be able to do so for patients who match the ACOs with whom your facility has a 3DW relationship.

| Indicating a 3-day waiver encounter will provide your ACO partner(s) with equal transparency on those patients admitted to your facility under the waiver. | For facilities manually entering patient events into PatientPing: when entering admissions, you will be prompted to specify whether a patient’s encounter occurred under the 3DW. For facilities that have integrated another EHR with PatientPing: after the admission has carried over from your EHR to PatientPing, you can add the 3DW indicator, by clicking the edit pencil on the patient card and selecting Edit from the dropdown menu. |
