Patient roster

On your patient roster, you’ll have access to the following categories of patients:

• Currently admitted: All patients whose most recent event provided in Bamboo Health is an admission with your facility or organization 
• Recently discharged: All patients whose most recent event provided in Bamboo Health is a discharge from your facility or organization 
• If your facility or organization is receiving Pings, you also will see your recently admitted and discharged patients’ events at other facilities across the Bamboo Health community.

Your facility’s or organizations admissions and discharges flow into Bamboo Health through one of the following means:

1. If your facility or organization has integrated your EHR with Bamboo Health, data on your patients’ admissions and discharges will flow in real-time from your internal system to Bamboo Health exactly how it is entered into your EHR.
2. If your facility or organization is using Bamboo Health in a manual fashion, you will use the admit tab to admit your patients and build out your census. You will use the options under the edit pencil on each patient card to update your patients' events as their course of care continues with your facility or organization. 

If you do not see the admit tab on your dashboard, this indicates that your facility or organization is set up with the automated use of Bamboo Health. Having such an integration set up not only ensures timely data entry but also allows you to see all important patient information in Bamboo Health without having to manually enter any patient events. 

Each patient card on your patient roster shows your patient’s most recent event and features a one-sentence summary of the event itself, including:

• The patient’s current status
• The date of the patient's most recent event
• The event location and care setting
• The diagnosis details tied to that event, when available

Just below the overview, you also will see any care management programs to which your patients are attributed. In the upper right of the patient card, the currently billing field will reflect the insurer being billed for the patient’s current event.
